One more in the series of memorable Purim weirdness.... I've got stories.... By some strange coincidence, I ended up crossing the International Dateline during Purim, under the full moon, which is a given for the holiday. I had been trying to get my mind around the concept of flying overnight into the 'next day', but it's the same day again, which is how it feels, and it's a bit disorienting. And to add the Purim connection of 'ad lo yada' the 'not knowing', it all kind of makes sense... or doesn't make sense as the case may be. Whether it's drinking until you don't know, or perhaps crossing the date line, there was something just a little bit different under that moon.
And at the moment, I'm still in an altered state, haven't slept nearly enough, my house is torn apart with a kitchen remodel, over tired, sick in my sinuses and nasal passages after the slog through 4 plane trips and too many hours in airports. But the weather is beautiful for today and tomorrow, my internet is back on, phone is hooked up, gigs are coming in, dates are going into the datebook, and I'm back (allegedly). Must sleep must sleep...
But yeah, it's good to be internet connected, I hated spending long hours in the Seattle airport without a phone of internet access, I'm pretty attached... but not nearly as much as the ones I saw with laptops going, phones going, screens going.
I ended up going to the Blues jam last night on zero sleep just to see my friends and dance a few dances. Ditto for dance class this morning, during which I was in no condition to dance, but I wanted to see the combination at least and start to learn it so the next class will be more accessible. Glad I went, wow am I rusty, but also sick and exhausted, so I'm not too concerned about how foreign it felt to be dancing. But I did see the combo, and that's a very good thing... makes Saturday class something to look forward to rather than fear.
I like that line 'Post Purim Depression', sounds like a punchline. Can't quite figure out the 'set up' line however. But I will...
What happened after Sarah got too drunk at the spiel? She had a Post Purim Depression. not quite... (not close, actually, but oh well)
Gonna sleep soon.... zzzzzz
